Tim Wood - Global Research & Development Director, Dow Water & Process Solution

 
Tim began his career at Rohm and Haas in 1984, as a research scientist working in a variety of technologies including acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives and water based technologies for high performance coatings on metal, plastics and concrete. In 1997, he moved to Brazil as Technical Service Manager for the Building Products business in Latin America. He returned to the US in 1999 as Technical Service Manager in Building Products, and progressed through roles of increasing responsibility in technical service and R&D in the Building Products and Functional Polymers businesses. Tim was named R&D Director for Industrial and Construction in 2005 and to his current role in 2009. 

Tim received his BS in Chemistry from Penn State University in 1980, and his PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1984. He has authored numerous scientific papers and patents. He is a member of the American Chemical Society, the Federation of Societies for Coatings Technology, and the Society for Protective Coatings.
