WaterSolutions Membranes Troubleshooting - Suspected Internal Leaks

Symptom	Possible Causes	Solution
High Salt Passage	Leaking or Missing O-rings	Localize leaking seals with profile (77KB PDF) and probe (77KB PDF). Replace worn or cut o-ring seals. Use proper lubricant and shim to minimize movement and wear on seals.
	Broken Internal Parts	Localize leaking parts with profile (77KB PDF) and probe (77KB PDF). Replace broken parts including elements if product water tubes are found broken. Use proper lubricant and shim (37KB PDF) to minimize movement and wear on seals.
	Leaking Element	Localize leaking element with profile (77KB PDF) and probe (77KB PDF). Leaking element can be verified with single element test in an available test stand or by rearranging vessel during reloading. If leak moves with element, then element is likely source of leak. Replace element.
